"Your writing is an extension of you. If you submit a manuscript fraught with errors and typos, then you have just told me everything I need to know about you" (Rebekah L. Pierce, Founder, The Pierce Agency, LLC).

Brand & Platform Development Coaching

Platform (expertise/genre) - What is your area of expertise/subject matter? What is/are the issue(s) you are most passionate about and discuss in your work? Every writer must know the answer to this question in order to effectively brand and market their work.

Marketability  - Is your platform marketable? Is there an audience for it? Will they buy it? We will help you analyze your target audience, putting your work into their line of vision.

Social Media - Must be consistent in tone, voice, message, color, etc. But what is the best social media platform for you, and is your target market there? Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Tumblr, etc. Which one has a higher ROI (rate of return on investment)?

Coaching (Pitching/Public Speaking) - It's no longer feasible or realistic for a writer or playwright to sit behind their computer, write the story/play, send it to an agent and let them do all of the marketing and promotion. No! Agents/publishers do not have the time, money or resources for this anymore. A writer has to be an authorpreneur and study the business of writing. So, you need a 1 minute pitch ready at all times because you just never know where you'll meet that agent or a potential reader/buyer. What is a pitch? A brief description of the plot, who's the intended market and why you are the best person to tell this particular story.  We will teach you how to talk about your work from a conversation on the elevator to your book signing.

Copyright & ISBN - Every work (including plays) needs to be copyrighted, and we can help you get it done. But if you are going to self-publish (do it yourself), you will need to purchase ISBN numbers, especially if you want to put the books on the shelves of indie bookstores. It's all about your vision/goals for the work. We'll help you navigate through this process.

Project Management

Consulting (creation to manuscript) - Got an idea for a book or play, but don't know how to even start with the writing process? We will guide you through the steps to getting the idea from your head to the page, and even to the stage. (30 day consult)

Manuscript Submission Package (query letter, bio, synopsis, logline, chapters) - So you've written the book. Now what? Well, if you want to work with traditional publishers or small presses, you need to follow their submission guidelines which requires, at minimum, a query letter be sent in. We will help you create the query letter you need to submit to publishers and agents you want to work with. This package is imperative to the success of an author/playwright as it can opens doors for your work.

Submission Research (agents & publishers, which is right for you?) - You've written the book, it's been edited and is ready to go; so what now? To which agents or publishers should you send your query package to? We will help you narrow down your choices based on your genre, goals for the work and more by researching for you available options. We will do the leg work for you!

Covers & Logos - Do you need to have a beautifully, professionally designed book cover even in the world of self-publishing? YES! It's visual stimulation - eye candy.  The first thing a potential reader sees is the cover, then they flip to the back to read the synopsis, and - if you are lucky - they will open the book up to the first page. If the first paragraph grabs and keeps their attention, cha-ching!
